The history of farming in the United States goes back to its earliest days. Those days on the farm have always been long and the work hard. Farmers relied on family and neighbors to accomplish a great deal of the work at certain times of the year. For example, during the harvest season farmers would help their neighbors to harvest the grains and feed that would be needed for the winter survival of their families and their livestock. After one farm was complete, that farmer would go to his neighbor to help.

Friends and neighbors have always helped on the farm as the livelihood of a community rested on the success of the area farms.

Today is no different, and at the Frederick County Farm Museum we recognize this and are asking for your support to continue the mission of educating the community on the history of farming in Frederick County. If you would like to donate money to the cause please contact one of our members. We also appreciate the donation of time and if you would like to help out with any of our yearly functions don't hesitate to let us know....we need your help.

Thank you!!
